Level 2 Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand-Held Equipment – PA6A

Date: Tuesday 4th June 2019 - Wednesday 5th June 2019

Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Cost: £270

From 26 November 2015, due to a change in legislation, it will be an offence for anyone to use Plant Protection Products (PPPs) authorised for professional use unless they hold an appropriate qualification in the safe use of pesticides. If you were born before 31 December 1964 you were previously able to use PPPs on your own land without the need for a qualification (this was known as ‘Grandfather Rights’).

Our sister organisation, Hadlow College, offers 3 separate pesticide courses, awarded by City & Guilds, that meet the legislation for sprayer operators and will entitle you to spray on your own property and on the property of others.

Level 2 Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand-Held Equipment (PA6A) enables students to prepare and use hand-held pesticides applicators.  The course covers the correct preparation of equipment as well as its maintenance, safe operation and calibration.

The assessment is approximately three hours and is carried out by an NPTC assessor on a one-to-one basis.

Course fee: £270
Course length: 2 days
Awarding body: City & Guilds of London Institute
