Eyes will be fixed firmly skyward as Birds of Prey soar and speed magnificently above the Park this half term. Kicking off a packed week of activities, Sky Birds of Prey, Kent’s family run display team, will be bringing its spectacular collection of birds to Betteshanger on 12th February. Week days are action-packed with Betteshanger Basecamp, our school holiday club for ages 8 – 14.
Birds of Prey (Free)
The Sky Birds Of Prey display team will be visiting Betteshanger with their magnificent birds. Appreciate the beautiful world of falconry, get up close with Barn Owls, Eagle Owls, Harris Hawks and Falcons; learn about the behaviour of these extraordinary birds and witness their fantastic displays during flight.
We’ll also be running Owl Pellet Dissection sessions (11am-2pm). Examine real owl pellets and identify all the left over grisly bits upchucked by the birds – can you work out what they had for dinner? There will be a small charge of £3 for this activity.
Betteshanger Basecamp (£25 per day)
13th – 17th February
School holidays can be a challenging time, especially for working parents. Our school holiday club, Betteshanger Basecamp, provides the perfect solution.
Drop the children off at 10am and we’ll guarantee them an exhilarating, fun-filled day at the Park. They'll try their hand at awesome activities, make new friends and have great fun in a safe outdoor environment.
Basecamp runs weekdays throughout half term. On each day the children will try two activities. A third activity may be included if weather and time permits, this will be decided on the day by the children involved. All afternoons will finish with team games. Pre-booking essential.
