Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults who make use of Betteshanger and its facilities. Any individual or group holding an event on our land will be asked to read our Policy Statement and Code of Conduct and agree to meet the same behaviour standards as those expected of our staff and volunteers.

Code of Conduct

Visiting groups are required to:

• Make a pre-event site visit

• Park vehicles in appropriate coach or car parking bays

• Leaders meet Betteshanger staff at the Visitor Centre and notify them of any booking changes

• Escort the group safely to where instructed by Betteshanger staff

• Leaders are responsible for their group at all times, ensuring appropriate language and behaviour for a public venue

• Provide appropriate adult supervision to all group members, Betteshanger instructors and coaches will provide activity expertise

• Leave the Park as found, clean, tidy and respectful of the environment

• Please adhere to these conditions or you may be asked to leave
