Forest school allows children the opportunity to develop a positive and inquisitive relationship with the natural world. To help build self-esteem and confidence and respect for others and the environment in preparation for life in an ever changing world. The sessions are child led, meaning the children lead the session. Leaders will come up with some activities but ultimately the children decide if they want to participate or if they want to do something different. The leaders are there to support the children’s learning and provide encouragement and support.
As session are child-led we do not rigidly plan the day but have activities on hand as well as a range of tools and equipment available for when the children ask.
