Do you love learning new skills? Could you help inspire people to live more healthy and active lifestyles? Do you enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and making new friends? If you can answer yes, becoming a Betteshanger volunteer could be just what you’re looking for.
Volunteering at Betteshanger allows you to explore your interests and expand your horizons. Possibilities for volunteering are vast, ranging from activities, heritage, events or visitor services through to practical site maintenance. Our roles are purely voluntary and form a vital part of the visitor experience. Volunteers provide a constant presence around the Park and a reassuring, friendly face that helps our visitors make the most of their day.
As the transformation of the Park gathers pace, you’ll be part of a dedicated team, working to create, plan, deliver and support many activities across the Park. You’ll help us care for our Park and preserve our heritage, building a brighter, bigger and better Betteshanger for all to enjoy.
Whatever your interests, whenever you can commit the time, we hope to find a volunteer role to suit you at Betteshanger.
From cycling and sports to crafts, if you’re friendly, energetic and creative, you will fit right in.
Help the park become the ideal place for flora and fauna to flourish. You’ll need bags of enthusiasm for spending time outdoors.
If films, festivals and family days are your thing, our events team is the place for you.

I retired three years ago and I’ve found that since I started volunteering at Betteshanger I have been less lethargic, more able to communicate and it has brought me a new lease of life. I also get to meet lots of new, exciting people. Betteshanger is a wonderful venture and I’m proud to be part of the project as it grows.
