The Heritage Trail - The Colliers' Way
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and support from Betteshanger Park and E-flow Cycles, the Kent Mining Museum is excited to announce our new, and free, heritage trail - The Colliers' Way!
On three different loops (varying lengths) around the park, all starting at the Visitor Centre, you can find 13 engaging panels with information about the Kent Coalfield, from the prehistoric "Coal Age" to the coalfield's present-day legacy.
Come on down to Betteshanger Park, grab a map, and enjoy a stroll through 250 acres of rewilded land (formerly Betteshanger Colliery). Afterwards, pop-in to the museum where you can hear some first-hand experiences of former Kent miners.
Please note: visitors can come across uneven surfaces and rough terrain.
